The VsEstimator is a menu-driven program specifically designed to assist machine shop personnel in their quoting and planning processes.

• The database will contain your machine data i.e; burden rate, available horsepower, standard approaches, etc.

• Manual equipment, such as turret lathes, as well as modern CNC machinery, are supported.

• The database also includes Surface Feet per Minute (SFM) and feed values for hundreds of materials, applicable to both high-speed and carbide tools. While these values are conservative, they can be adjusted to align with your specific shop requirements. Additional materials can also be included.

• There are 42 distinct machining functions available, including drilling, rough and finish boring, end milling, thread milling, and others.

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) runs the necessary computations as needed.

• Sub spindles on lathes, both single and dual turret, are accommodated, along with milling functions such as face milling and end milling. Lathes equipped with multi-axis capabilities are also addressed.

• If cuts are marked as “internal,” they are displayed but their times are not aggregated into the total.

• Conversely, if cuts are marked as “consecutive,” a single tool can be used for multiple phases such as turning and facing and these are then combined into one cut.

• The program supports circular interpolation, accumulates setup times, and calculates costs. Costs are based on run quantity and facility burden rates. Costs for varying quantities are also computed.

• Metric input is permitted.

• A comprehensive instruction manual is included.

• Ideal for comparing different manufacturing scenarios.

• The VsEstimator® is also a training guide for future estimators.

• Compatible with the Windows platform.

• Much faster than a conventional spread sheet.

• And so much more...

Once complete, the estimate can be used for costing, as a routing, and as a template for CNC programming. Different scenarios can be quickly prepared and reviewed. As a result, the most optimum machining process can be selected.
